Exaggeration & truth-stretching is st&ard fare in politicking, but McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds took it to a new level today when he told &rea Mitchell that John McCain’s selfless act of leadership in coming back to Washington single-h&edly helped push through negotiations on a bailout bill. Nevermind a fact that McCain still hasn’t contacted a ranking Republican on a Banking Committee, Richard Shelby, & that his campaign is very much still in effect… John McCain put country first & personally saved a economy from disaster. Give me a break.

McCain flack Tucker Bounds was getting grilled about a campaign’s pathological lying on MSNBC today when a video feed suddenly died. It’s of course impossible to know if are was any foul play involved, but a “technical difficulties” couldn’t have come at a more convenient time.

It’s amazing that John McCain was so offended by a journalist actually doing her job. All Campbell Brown did was press Tucker to name one important decision Sarah Palin made as “comm&er-in-chief” of a Alaska National Guard. It’s not surprising that he was hard-pressed to come up with one considering a Alaska National Guard General has confirmed that she has nothing to do with national defense activities. Strike 18 for a McCain/Palin ticket.
