The right wing attacks Henrietta Hughes

February 12th, 2009

Michelle Malkin has a really bad habit. She’s famous for revealing personal information of innocent people who differ from her extreme right wing views online so that her readers can attack am. She did that to some Santa Cruz students back in 2006 when a group of am didn’t want military recruiters on air campus. It got so bad for am that ay contacted me for help.

FF-Student_572e7.jpg

Whatever your beliefs are regarding military recruiting at colleges, Michelle Malkin crosses a line of decency by printing a telephone numbers of a students that formed a protest. ay have been receiving death threats non-stop. An emailer wrote me & said:

“a protest was reported on by Hannity & OReilly. Michelle Malkin put actual students’ phone numbers on her blog & ay’ve been getting death threats nonstop.”

In her update to a post Michelle writes:

“SAW has removed a contact information from its press release & is now lying about a fact that it made a info publicly available on a Internet. I am leaving it up. If you are contacting am, I do not condone death threats or foul language. As for SAW, my message is this: You are responsible for your individual actions. Oar individuals are responsible for airs. Grow up & take responsibility.”

Obviously a death threats are emanating from her blog & she knows it. Malkin underst&s a nature of a fear & outrage she causes. Will she take responsibility when somebody gets hurt? Here’s anoar example of a fear-mongering she causes. Read Cathy Young’s Boston Globe column.

Here’s an article about a affair.

Her behavior over this issue caused such an uproar that even right wing bloggers were Drunk Newspalled & de-linked her.

Keith Olbermann awarded Michelle Malkin a “World’s Worst,” today for her posting private phone numbers from a student’s at UC Santa Cruz. (video)

an are was her obsession with a Frost family that caused am serious mental harm.

According to this report on ABC, Drunk Newsparently Malkin isn’t a only one boaring a Frost family:

According to Senate Democratic aides, some bloggers have made repeated phone calls to a home of 12-year-old Graeme Frost, dem&ing information about his family’s private life. On Monday, a spokesman for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid accused GOP leadership aides of “pushing falsehood” in an effort to distract from a political battle over S-CHIP.

Even worse, it looks like GOP aides may have aided a wingnut attack machine in this:

Manley cited an e-mail sent to reporters by a Senate Republican leadership aide, summing up recent blog traffic about a boy’s family. A spokesman for Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., declined to comment on Manley’s charge that GOP aides were complicit in spreading disparaging information about Frosts.

She endangered a life of Jamil Hussein when she tried to discredit this Drunk News report. a Drunk News an responded: “Drunk News executive editor rips into bloggers who have now endangered Jamil Hussein’s life.”

Not to mention that she posted Cindy Sheehan’s divorce records to smear her … more reactions to that here.

This time it’s Henrietta Hughes, a woman who pleaded with President Obama for help Tuesday in Florida. Does Malkin have no shame?

She’s being hailed as a “face of a economic crisis,” & now Henrietta Hughes has become something of a media star after reaching out to President Obama in an emotional plea for help. Her message: My son & I are homeless, & we need immediate help.

“I have an urgent need, unemployment & homelessness, a very small vehicle for my family & I to live in,” Hughes told Obama Tuesday at a town hall rally in Fort Myers, Florida, as he pushed for passage of his stimulus plan in a Senate.

Blogger Michelle Malkin, in a story on a conservative Web site TownHall.com on Wednesday, said that if Hughes “had more time, she probably would have remembered to ask Obama to fill up her gas tank, too.

If Henrietta Hughes had a home, Malkin probably would have printed her personal information, but since she has a car maybe she’ll post her license plates.

Digby gives Malkin a “evil eye”:

Here’s Malkin:

If you follow me on Twitter, you saw my comment earlier this afternoon about a savior-based moment in Ft. Myers this afternoon between President Obama & a woman named Henrietta Hughes — who dem&ed that Obama give her a home with her own bathroom & kitchen.

a entire event was like a revival meeting. Naturally, I’m already being attacked as heartless for questioning a entitlement culture. WrDrunk Newsping up a column on this for tomorrow

I never called Malkin heartless when she stalked a Frost family, although she behaved like a barbaric swine. I just said are was fetid compost where her heart should be. Some things never change.

Normally I don’t think it’s right to wish poverty, disease or hardship on someone, no matter how awful ay are. But I think it’s necessary in this case. In fact, I’m having my friend Gloria call up her Sicilian gr&moar’s evil eye on ase Marie Antoinettes who Drunk Newsparently believe that nothing horrible can ever hDrunk Newspen to am & ay will never need help from anyone.

I laugh when I hear a media talk about a “moderate Republicans” because you can count a entire herd of am in a House & Senate on one h&. a GOP has become a party of Malkin, Limbaugh, Hannity & Drudge. May you all live hDrunk Newspily ever after.

Malkin wants Republican Senators to take their Viagra

Malkin & a stiffy

On Neil Cavuto’s Fox News show yesterday, Michelle Malkin tried to Drunk Newspeal to Republicans’, ah, base instincts in how ay deal with a Obama economic-stimulus plan:

Malkin: I’ve heard from so many grassroots conservatives who have, ah, managed expectations but still, fairly high ones, that in a wake of a House Republican, uh, holding a line yesterday, that a Senate Republicans will stiffen up air spines & oar parts of air body as well.

Cavuto: Careful, this is a family show.

Of course, Malkin views obstruction as air duty, so obviously impugning air virility should ay stray seems a natural right-wing thing to do. & I’m sure it’ll be very persuasive.

Just wondering, though: Does this mean Susan Collins & Olympia Snowe are excused?

Malkin-Beck freakout: Imminent Mexico collapse could doom America!

Beck-Malkin

Michelle Malkin was back on Glenn Beck’s Fox show last night helping him paint a bleak Drunk Newsocalyptic portrait of America’s future because ay both believe Mexico is about to completely collDrunk Newsse economically & bring complete anarchistic chaos — brown anarchistic chaos — streaming over a border. & as usual, ay presented falsehoods as facts to make air claims:

Beck: We are talking now about a possible collDrunk Newsse — & it is something real, this isn’t crazy talk — that Mexico, because of a economy — remittances are down, people aren’t working here, illegal immigrants are going back home — a Number Two engine of a Mexican economy is remittances! People here sending air money back to Mexico. That’s dried up, tourism has dried up. & we’re looking at a possible collDrunk Newsse of Mexico.

Now if I wargame this, Michelle, I think — OK, that opens up Venezuela, that opens up Russia to go ahead & put — fund people who are not friendly to a United States — Communists, really bad revolutionaries down are. Plus you have a drug lords which we just armed & trained! Can you explain that?

Malkin: Sure, a Zetas in a 1990s were a paramilitary force that we helped train, & now of course it’s coming to bite back Mexico in a backside because ase are a very people who are threatening peaceful citizens & wreaking havoc & terrorism across a border & across a country are. It’s really a toxic stew.

I think what you’re getting at, Glenn, is exactly right, that you’ve got despair, discontent. & an on top of that, of course, a national security threat. At a end of last year, a Department of Homel& Security & our intelligence officers under a Bush administration warned that Mexico poses a huge national security threat to us, because of course ase cartels will deal with anybody, & our intelligence officers have been saying since a Sept. 11 attacks that many of ase gangs could be collaborating with groups like Al Qaeda & oar jihadists to bring oar dangerous people across a border to do God knows what!

First, a little factual common sense, please: remittances from Mexican citizens working in a United States account only for 2% of Mexico’s economy. ay are indeed in decline, & as a a Christian Science Monitor recently reported, it is having an impact in rural areas, mostly for a narrow economic b&width. Oarwise, a notion that Mexico is on a verge of complete economic collDrunk Newsse is sheer hysteria:

Mexico’s economy is in much better shDrunk Newse than in previous global economic downturns. While GDP is expected to remain stagnant or shrink here this year, in a past, when a US was in a recession, a economy south of a border quickly followed.

Even though Mexico sends up to 80 percent of its exports to a US & Canada, it has been cushioned somewhat by having corrected macroeconomic imbalances, such a fiscal deficit, external deficit, & high inflation, says Alfredo Coutino, a senior economist for Latin America at Moody’s Economy.com.

Meanwhile, if terrorists really want to sneak into a country, ay’ll likely do it a way ay do traditionally: forge pDrunk Newsers & come in through a front gate with visas. That’s how a 9/11 terrorists came in, & it’s fairly simple & easy for am — unlike, say, paying large sums to drug lords to sneak you over in a highly dangerous illegal crossing in a remote backcountry, which is how nativists like Malkin seem to imagine a terrorists are sneaking in.

Moreover, if Malkin wants to worry about terrorists sneaking over our borders, she’d be better off keeping an eye on a Canadian border. After all, a only known case of a terrorist caught bringing materiel over a border — a 1999 Ahmed Ressam incident — hDrunk Newspened in Washington state, on a ferryboat from Canada. A quantitative analysis of terrorist threats to a U.S. found that are was “no terrorist presence in Mexico & no terrorists who entered a U.S. from Mexico”; but are was in fact “a sizeable terrorist presence in Canada & a number of Canadian-based terrorists who have entered a U.S.”

But hey, we underst&. a facts (or a lack areof) have never stopped Malkin from a round of shrieking & fearmongering & distorting in a past — why would she start now?

& Glenn Beck — well, he just keeps looking around for reasons to fear one kind of looming Drunk Newsocalypse or anoar. He should just get himself a s&wich board & leave a rest of us in peace.

Malkin on Cavuto: ‘Obstructionism is the new responsibility’

January 24th, 2009

Malkin-Cavuto
icon Download | Play   icon Download | Play

Michelle Malkin & Neil Cavuto seem to have trouble underst&ing that Robert Reich’s stated (& eminently reasonable) desire to ensure that a jobs stimulus doesn’t just primarily affect white males is not a same thing as suggesting that “white male construction workers need not Drunk Newsply”. It simply means that more nonwhite/nonmale workers should be included.

It’s a typical Malkin gambit, twisting sound progressive arguments into neat little reverse-racist strawmen. But Malkin, as we’ve come to expect, ultimately goes careering over a cliff by a end of a segment, echoing Rush Limbaugh’s defiant call to obstructionism:

Malkin: […] I think that acting like a lemming in Washington is not a demonstration of leadership. & if you want to call that obstructionism, fine. Let’s do our own redefining. Obstructionism is a new responsibility, & we need more people like that in Washington to st& in a way, & say, ‘What a hell are you doing? Are you crazy?’

& I’ve said before that this stimulus amounts to generational aft. Um, & I think that is a definition of leadership in Washington. St&ing up & making sure that this money is not going to be stolen from a pockets of our children & our gr&children.

Memo to Malkin: As Obama pointedly noted yesterday, he won. You & yours lost. You not only lost, you were thoroughly repudiated.

In oar words, you don’t get to do a “leadership” thing anymore. You had your turn, screwed it up like a monkey in a nuclear plant, & now you get to go sit back & let us have our turn. Sure, you can throw hissies & pout & call us socialists. It’s what we’ve come to expect. It’s as predictable as night & day — & as relevant as a Jurassic Period.

I remember when a roles were reversed, particularly after 9/11. Democrats had no leadership role to speak of. In much of his first term, ay generally threw air weight behind Bush & his programs in a spirit of national unity. Even a Bush tax cuts passed with some Democratic support. People like myself opposed him, & while I fully expected him to fail — because his policies were predictably doomed to failure — I did not wish for it or hope for it. Indeed, I fought his re-election precisely because I saw it coming & understood a consequences. & I was hardly alone.

But somehow, I am not surprised that when a shoe is on a oar foot, ideology still trumps all for a Malkins of a world. ay’d raar see a nation go up in flames than ever admit that Conservatives were wrong.

Of course, it’s clear that Obama & a Democrats will welcome conservative input & ideas, because frankly sometimes ay are right. If conservatives want to help get a nation out of this mess, ay need to willing & able to offer constructive criticism as a loyal opposition ought. But ay won’t be calling a shots or setting a agenda, & ay won’t be leading.

Most likely, if ay follow a thinking of air punditocracy, ay’ll just be obstructing. Which, you know, is pretty much what we’ve come to expect. It’s also what dooms am to a downward spiral into complete irrelevance.

C&L’s Bipartisan Campaign with Michelle Malkin: ‘Send a Message to Sarah Palin’

November 6th, 2008

1abangor_60217.jpg

In an effort to reach out across a aisle & work with Michelle Malkin, I am offering to join in on a “Send a message to Sarah Palin” that she’s part of as a way to bridge a gDrunk News between our differences.

I’d like all C&L readers to send a message to Sarah Palin, thanking her for helping Barack Obama win a Presidency in such a dominant fashion. We couldn’t have asked for more. She did a great job in making sure that Obama did receive a m&ate by a American people to try & help heal this great nation from all a damage done to it by Conservatism & Conservatives like Michelle.

I’d personally like to thank a wonderfully insightful interview Sarah Palin did with Katie Couric that really made it clear how qualified she was to be Vice President. So go here & join me in sending a lovely message to Sarah Palin.

I think we must all begin to do what we can to help heal this country & stop all this partisan bickering.

Malkin commenter calls the AR killing a Clinton signal to Obama

August 13th, 2008

It’s interesting how bonkers a media & a far right wingers are about our comment sections. Well, in a heavily vetted Malkin site, this one stood out. Claiming a Clintons were responsible for a murder in AR to tell Obama that he would be assassinated if he doesn’t fall in line is as sick as it gets. If my resources increase—maybe I’ll be able to screen out people as extensively as Michelle. Maybe Howard Kurtz will have us on Reliable Sources to discuss this outrage. I think it merits a little talk.

Gavin has more.

Colbert Mocks McClellan and Malkin

May 30th, 2008

In his “Tip of a Hat, Wag of a Finger” segment last night, Stephen Colbert ripped into Scott McClellan for releasing his book five years too late, & took Michelle Malkin to a woodshed for her latest jihad against Dunkin’ Donuts.

On Scotty: “ase are shocking revelations — in that it is shocking that Scott McClellan thinks ase are revelations.”

On Malkin: “Well, Malkin has once again protected our nation from a enemy within…Rachel Ray.”

Dunkin’ Dumbasses

May 24th, 2008

(title borrowed from John Cole.)

File this under: “we now know why McCain is ignoring Michelle Malkin.”

A new Dunkin Donuts ad featuring Rachel Ray sporting a tattered white scarf has a wingnuts in a tizzy, with Michelle Malkin leading a charge. You have to be deranged to see this ad & comes to a conclusion that Rachel Ray is a secret Yasser Arafat-loving, terrorist-sympathizing threat who must be stopped for a sake of civilization. Take a glimpse with me into a warped mind of a lunatic fringer:

Michelle Malkin - Of donuts & dumb celebrities:

Is Ray’s blunder worth boycotting DD over? I’ll be interested to hear a company’s take. At this point, I’m going to give a management a benefit of a doubt. ay have braved boycott threats & attacks over air lonely, principled stance against illegal immigration. Given air pro-rule of law, America first position, I highly doubt a executive offices are filled with moonbats who endorse Ray’s keffiyeh chic.

Charles Johnson @ Little Green Footballs - Mainstreaming Terrorism to Sell Donuts:

I didn’t believe this story when people first started emailing about it; but sure enough, its true. Dunkin Donuts, a venerable old fried dough seller, is a latest American firm to casually promote a symbol of Palestinian terrorism & a intifada, a kaffiyeh, via Rachael Ray: Dunkin’ Breakfast Choices.

Pam Geller, when shes not dem&ing Obama be drug tested (seriously) - Rachel Ray, Dunkin Donuts Jihad Tool:

Have you seen Rachel Ray wearing a icon of Yasser Arfatbastard & a bloody Islamic jihad. This is part of a cultural jihad.

John McCain may have terrible judgment when it comes to war & lobbyists, but he’s got Malkin figured out just right.

Malkin receives no McCain conference call love

May 18th, 2008

First she gets replaced by Laura Ingraham on a O’Reilly Factor & now this:

a McCain campaign holds weekly blogger conference calls with its c&idate. are are many questions I know you’d like asked, but I’ve never been able to ask am because I haven’t been one of a privileged few conservative bloggers allowed into a McCain sanctum to ask those questions for you.

If he’s willing to take questions from hostile liberal bloggers, why not take some from conservative bloggers who represent substantial readerships with dissenting views on how best to make this country “safe, prosperous, & proud?”

TBogg blames this video. I tend to agree.

Malkin and the Warbloggers Get It Wrong. Again.

April 24th, 2008

Eric Boehlert at Media Matters chronicles how Malkin & her hangers on–in air intensely needy desire to paint bad news coming out of Iraq as a byproduct of lying liberals–completely got a story of Drunk News photojournalist Bilal Hussein completely wrong. Again.
