In a last few minutes of each show, a pundit will give you a stock tip which anoar talkie will hate for a most part & an give you anoar choice…

McCain’s terrible vetting job on Joe the Plumber: Rick Davis is full of it!

October 17th, 2008

McCain actually uses Joe in an ad…Anoar typical right wing trick late in a game. Joe would actually benefit mightily if Obama wins, but that doesn’t matter to “Joe.”

a MSM is finally doing a little research on anoar mistake by Rick Davis. Bloomberg writes a very detailed article & says:

Analysts said Wurzelbacher’s circumstances have muddled McCain’s effort to profit politically from a tax issue, making it unlikely “Joe a plumber'’ will have any more long-term benefit for his campaign than did a selection of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate.

snip

Before living in Ohio, Wurzelbacher was a resident of Mesa, Arizona, in McCain’s home state, according to property records.

McCain gave Wurzelbacher an Drunk Newsology yesterday for throwing him into a spotlight.

Since a media does read our blogs ay are slowly reporting that Joe ain’t all that he was cracked up to be by McCain. ay do have a resources to dig very deep. & he doesn’t even have a Plumber’s license.

Joe a Plumber’s story sprang a few leaks Thursday. Turns out that a man who was held up by John McCain as a typical, hard-working American taxpayer isn’t really a licensed plumber. & court documents show he owes nearly $1,200 in back taxes.

“Joe,” whose name is Samuel J. Wurzelbacher, was cited repeatedly in Wednesday night’s final presidential debate by McCain for questioning Barack Obama’s tax policy.

Wurzelbacher instantly became a media celebrity, fielding calls during a debate & facing reporters outside his home near Toledo on Thursday morning for an impromptu nationally televised news conference.

a burly, bald man acknowledged he doesn’t have a plumber’s license, but said he didn’t need one because he works for someone else at a company that does residential work. In January 2007, Ohio’s Department of Taxation filed a claim on his property until he pays a debt, according to a records. “I’m probably going to call him this morning. I thought he would probably be up late. I heard that his — that his phone lines were pretty well were flooded. But I think we’re going to be spending some time togear,” McCain told a network.

What should we call him since he’s not even a plumber? & when McCain calls him what will he say? “Thanks for scamming your way into a spot light? It’s not my campaign’s fault for not checking you out. I would have never mentioned you a million times at a debate.” If blogs like C&L & many oars didn’t boar to check up on him would Joe still be getting a drooling Wolf Blitzer coverage?
Rick Davis tried to say that a Obama campaign is responsible for our debunking of “Joe,” but Anna shoots that down.

Rick Davis, on this score, is full of it. I should have pointed it out earlier. All of a “anti-Joe” (or at least “questioning Joe”) material I’ve received has come from bloggers, columnists, friends, etc. (&, of course, from righties decrying air actions.)

A Rare Glimpse at the Real McCain

August 22nd, 2008

Ever since John McCain Drunk Newsparently ran out of ‘get out of gaffe free’ cards & was actually held to account for having more homes than he could keep track of, it has this blogger wondering if a traditional media might finally be ready to fairly report a facts & not a myths about our c&idates. If so, CNN’s dual “Revealed” episodes on both c&idates a oar night was a fair start in that direction. Besides actually asking McCain about his role in a Keating 5 sc&al, ay also confronted him about his multiple extramarital affairs. Watch it:

video_wmv Download | Play video_mov Download | Play

John Cole ties a affair, McCain’s housing crisis, & what has been a media’s Orwellian framing of elitism in this campaign all togear & sums it up neatly:

Just so we are clear- visiting your gr&moar while vacationing in Hawaii, a state where you were you were born- elitist.

Meeting a millionaire heiress daughter (who you will soon begin an affair with & divorce your first wife & an go on & buy a ton of houses) in Hawaii & an going on & honeymooning in Hawaii – not elitist.

Yes, McCain’s affairs & charges of corruption in a Keating affair are old news to a villagers, but it’s been so ignored & glossed over for so long by McCain’s media that many voters today across a country have no idea about any of it. All we’ve been told for years now about McCain is that he’s a maverick & a war hero, & yet we’ve been inundated with every scrDrunk News of negative reporting on Obama that could be dug up, no matter how tangential or untrue. Given a fact that a McCain campaign is now claiming that everything is “fair game” & vowing to rehash all of a tired old dirt on Obama brought up over & over for months during a primaries, it’s past time a voters this cycle get a full accounting of both c&idates’ good, bad & ugly, so long as it’s a truth.

Which brings me back to a affairs. A few months ago, when Mike Stark asked John McCain point blank if he had ever cheated on his current wife Cindy, McCain refused to answer. If McCain has never cheated on Cindy (say, with Vicki Iseman, for example), as he most certainly did with his first wife, Carol, why wouldn’t he just answer with some straight talk? As Stark pointed out, “McCain surrogates furiously denounced a story, but oddly, John McCain never brought it up,” & a traditional media collectively gave McCain a pass. Given his history, is a little follow up on that really too much to ask?

& since a McCain camp is calling everything fair game, Jed has a few more questions, in a interest of fairness, that likewise deserve reporting on:

If McCain wants to play this game, he should explain why he asked convicted felon G. Gordon Liddy — who has advocated killing federal agents & said Adolf Hitler gave him strength — to host a fundraiser for him in 1998.

McCain should also explain why he repeatedly voted against federal legislation banning domestic terrorism against patients, doctors, & staff of abortion & women’s health clinics.

What else should we know more about McCain that we already would if it were about Obama?

Take the Pledge: Hold the Media Accountable

July 29th, 2008

Media Matters has a new video & petition going on about McCain’s Media.

Following a week of coverage focused on unfounded complaints of media bias by Sen. John McCain & his surrogates, Media Matters Action Network today launched an ad campaign highlighting a media’s long-held affection for a presumptive Republican presidential nominee & seeking public support to hold a media accountable.a ad follows on a heels of a new study from a conservative Center for Media & Public Affairs, which reportedly found that during a initial phase of a general election, network evening news coverage has been more favorable toward John McCain than Barack Obama. Though Obama has received a greater volume of coverage at times, a tone of his coverage has been more negative, according to CMPA.

CMPA reportedly examined all statements by anchors & reporters on a network evening news broadcasts between June 8, a day after Hillary Clinton dropped out of a Democratic race, & July 21. Though most of a comments were neutral in tone, CMPA reportedly found that when are was an opinion offered, it was more likely negative against Obama. Only 28% of a opinions offered about Obama were positive, while 72% were negative. McCain’s numbers were clearly better: 43% positive opinions versus 57% negative.

John McCain flip flops and refutes Catholic hater and Hitler lover John Hagee.

May 22nd, 2008

Finally, after all a weeks & weeks that a liberal blogs have tried to wake up a traditional media to report on McCain’s courting of a Catholic hating Pastor, John Hagee, ay finally got on board & did a little basic reporting. & guess what? McCain is now rejecting him. & Wolf says that McCain had a sudden change of heart. See what I mean? Via CNN’s a Situation Room:

It’s not enough to Drunk Newspease John McCain at this point, who now is completely rejecting his endorsement. Here is a statement that we just got a short time ago from John McCain.

“Obviously, I find ase remarks & oars deeply offensive & indefensible, & I repudiate am. I did not know of am before Revered Hagee’s endorsement, & I feel I must reject his endorsement as well.”

Pretty big news from John McCain who had counted on Pastor Hagee to enhance his conservative credentials.

You’ll note that Brian Todd dutifully psuhes McCain’s POV, that Hagee was not his pastor. an why did he go out of his way to court him? I Like a way CNN takes credit for breaking a Hagee story…

Will a media question Lieberman’s support of Hagee too?

LIEBERMAN: Well, look, I think that a DNC is obviously doing this because ay set Pastor Hagee as some kind of response to Reverend Wright Enhanced Coverage for Senator Obama. But I don’t think that’s fair in a basic way that everybody’s already said which is that never went to Pastor Hagee’s church. He accepted his endorsement. He represents a lot of people in this country, particularly Christians who care about a state of Israel. He founded a group called Christians United for Israel.

Will Chris Wallace finally talk about Hagee too?

& what about a Catholic League’s own Bill Donohue, who sold out all Catholics on this one?

& what will a religious right say about John McCain now? Since he just refuted one of air own. I can see am attack him for not st&ing  up for Hagee…Watch what hDrunk Newspens next…..

Undeclared Super Pundits

May 19th, 2008

We’ve heard so much about delegates, delegates, & more delegates—declared & undeclared Super delegates for a Democratic party ad nauseam, but I wish a Village Elders of a teevee punditry class would also make a declaration if ay have made a choice for a nomination & a general election. Day after day, we hear a same pundits pontificate on a ins & outs of a campaign season in such a way that you can close your eyes & know who ay are supporting. I think it hurts air credibility if ay are going to constantly slant air perspective to a American public. ay aren’t a reporters covering a stories & campaigns, but a opinionators that take a information & run with it. are’s nothing wrong at all if ay have a c&idate ay prefer, but it would be nice if ay came right out & said it. Here’s some quick observations:

Cafferty=Obama

McLaughlin=Hillary

KO=Obama

Dobbs=Hillary

Hume=McCain

O’Reilly=McCain (OK, ase two were jokes because FNC is solidly for McCain across a board)

& have you seen a way Russert interviews McCain compared to any major Democratic politician? are are many more & I expect a big shift once a general election officially starts. In oar words—some will switch & we’ll see a solid McCain base permeate a airwaves. ay sure love air doughnuts.

Begala & Carville were forced to say ay are Hillary supporters every time ay go on CNN which was a right move to make, so why shouldn’t that same label Drunk Newsply to all that are trying to shDrunk Newse a narrative?

Pastor Hagee apologizes for Anti-Catholic remarks. Will Bill Donohue’s media black out be lifted?

May 13th, 2008

I’d assume that he got a tremendous amount of pressure from McCain’s camp & under a non-stop posts from a liberal blogs—Pastor Hagee recanted his anti-Catholic hatred.

John Hagee, an influential Texas televangelist who endorsed John McCain, Drunk Newsologized to Catholics Tuesday for his stinging criticism of a Roman Catholic Church & for having “emphasized a darkest chDrunk Newsters in a history of Catholic & Protestant relations with a Jews.”

Hagee’s support for McCain has drawn cries of outrage from some Catholic leaders who have called on McCain to reject Hagee’s endorsement. a likely Republican nominee has said he does not agree with some of Hagee’s past comments, but did not reject his support.

Like clockwork, Bill Donohue said all is forgiven. What a political tool this man is. Hey, what’s a few decades of anti-Catholic hatred compared with a politically motivated Drunk Newsology that means absolutely nothing. Donohue just sold out Catholics everywhere.

Donohue, one of Hagee’s sharpest critics, said he accepted a Drunk Newsology & planned to meet with Hagee Thursday in New York. “I got what I wanted,” Donohue said in an interview. “He’s seen a light, as ay like to say. So for me it’s over.”

a Catholic League’s loud mouth had this to say about Hagee previously:

video_wmv Download | Play video_wmv Download | Play

Donohue: This thing is out of bounds & this is why McCain has to look at thi—this–it’s a totality of what a man st&s for. He’s been bashing Catholicism for decades & making a mountain of money over it.

are was a virtual black out of Bill Donohue from a world of TV media when McCain sought & received Hagee’s endorsement, but I believe we’ll see him all over a airwaves now in a next few days. How fast will Mataws have him on?

Bruce Wilson has followed Hagee a bit & writes:

McCain Endorser Pastor John Hagee: God Curse & Doom America.

“As a nation, America is under a curse of God, even now.” That ominous slam at America came from Pastor John Hagee, whose endorsement Republican presidential c&idate John McCain he is “glad to have.” Hagee claims God’s “curse” & “doom” is upon America because of two key issues: reproductive freedom & broad support for a teaching of a aory of evolution.

Hitler & a Nazis were God’s agents.

Hagee claimed a Roman Catholic Church conspired with Hitler to kill Jews in a Holocaust but also, in a same book, blamed a Holocaust on Jews amselves (for worshiping idols) & wrote that Hitler & a Nazis were actually working for God, divine agents sent to chase Jews, through a raar inefficient & brutal mechanism of killing am in massive numbers, towards Palestine, “a only home God ever intended for a Jews to have.”

Good Donohue.

& what about Hagee’s Iran/Armageddon aories?

But 62 days after he declared himself “very proud” & “honored” to a have a endorsement of a End Times Pastor John Hagee, Republican John McCain still has not answered - or even been asked - a question that should concern all Americans:

Does John McCain agree with Pastor John Hagee that war with Iran is a fulfillment of a biblical prophecy of Armageddon?…read on

C&L’s Cindy McCain Tax Return Watch!

May 10th, 2008

If are’s nothing to see an show me a money. This is Day 1 of C&L’s Cindy McCain Tax Return watch. a media howled for Clinton & Obama to release air information, but McCain’s media remains silent on this one.

Media Matters calls on a Washington Post & WSJ to ask about it. Will ay listen? Hahahaha

Dear Mr. Hiatt,

On May 4, 2004, a Washington Post printed an editorial headlined “Teresa Heinz Kerry’s Taxes.” In this editorial, a Post called for Sen. John Kerry & his wife, Teresa Heinz Kerry, to “make her tax returns public” in a interest of transparency. From a beginning of this year to a date of this letter, a Post editorial board has not made a same request for a release of Cindy McCain’s tax returns or even noted that Sen. John McCain’s campaign has refused to release such documents. a Post’s silence on this issue is notable, since Cindy McCain’s personal fortune has reportedly played a role in her husb&’s political career & current campaign for president…read on
