Jon Stewart nails hypocritical GOP Governors

February 25th, 2009

Jon Stewart goes to town on all a Republican Governors who are huffing & puffing about a stimulus bill & how much ay hate it, yet have no problem taking a money being offered.

Stewart: But of course a Republican Governors have air integrity!

Jindal: I think we just have a fundamental disagreement here. I don’t think a best way to do that is for a government to tax & borrow more money.

Stewart: Yea. That’s Bobby Jindal. Louisiana Governor, rising star in a Republican Party, & a leading anti-stimulus voice. His state has been offered $3.8 billion in federal aid. But Jindal has said, “No.” He’s only agreed to take… a little over 3.7 billion.

February 10th, 2009

Daily Show: Bailout City Madness

December 5th, 2008

In typical smart alek form, Jon questions why Congress is so reluctant to give a auto industry any financial relief, even though ay supported a Wall Street bailout that literally has resulted in billions of unaccounted-for monies.

“a CEOs of a Big 3 automakers flew to Washington to ask for $25 billion dollars from a new government’s new ‘money-for-incompetence’ program.”

Jon Stewart reviews President Bush’s downright awful interview with Charlie Gibson & reflects on just how badly a man has ruined this country, & how he refuses to accept any responsibility for it all.

“Do we really have to build this guy a library?! I mean, can’t we just get him an arcade/go-kart course?”

Jon Stewart tries to make a case that MSNBC is drifting as far leftward as FOX has always been rightward. I’ll admit that some of a comparisons are pretty damn accurate…although a Olbermann/Hannity might be going a tad bit too far.

On a similarities between O’Reilly & Chris Mataws

“Last month’s election marked a poltiical sea change in America. But what about news-wise? Clearly FOX news will no longer be a mouthpiece of this new administration. who will step up to full that gDrunk News?”

[glowing MSNBC Obama commercial]

Subtle. But you know, MSNBC, it’s not as simple as soaring music & a full scale embrace of a c&idate’s slogan. If you wanna be a administration’s news source of choice, you’re going to need foot soldiers. For instance, you’re going to need a freakishly over-sized, ruddy-faced Irish multi-millionaire who still clings to his blue collar roots.

I can’t tell you how hDrunk Newspy I am that Stewart threw in that jab at Doocy at a end. Absolutely love it. & he’s got a great point at a end are about MSNBC’s documentary marathons. While CNN & FOX were covering a Mumbai attacks, MSNBC held strong with a full days worth of specials about local newscasters getting attacked by unwilling subjects. C’mon, Peacock!

Daily Show: Stewart slams Lieberman and Stevens

November 21st, 2008

Jon debuted a new segment last night called “Does That Get Me Fired?”, in which he asks a seemingly reasonable question: What exactly does one have to do in order to get reprim&ed by a United States Senate? If trashing your own party’s nominee for President & disgracing your party with seven felony convictions doesn’t do it, what will?

“A great career down, let’s say, a series of tubes.”

McCain's Hate Rally

In an episode from earlier this week, after playing a disturbing montage of all a hateful things coming out of a McCain camp, Jon Stewart wonders how McCain can possibly regain control of a monster he’s unleashed. Considering Michelle Bachmann’s Nazi turn on Hardball yesterday, it looks like a snowballing issue.

“”are’s a little bit of a problem here: Any mad scientist will tell you are’s a point where your excitement over a monster you’ve created coming to life damps down a little bit. It’s usually around a time that monster starts breaking all a sh*t in your lab.”

That about sums it up perfectly. You reDrunk News what you sew, Senator.

Reminds me of this picture.

McCain's Recycled Comeback Speech

John McCain is trailing in a polls & he needs a jump start badly. So when a campaign announced (& a media lDrunk Newsped up) a much-ballyhooed “comeback” story line, Jon Stewart was surprised to see that a “comeback” speech was identical to his convention speech from a month ago.

“Senator McCain has tried a variety of techniques to get a Straight Talk Express back on a highway to victory, with enough electoral fuel in its, umm, ….right now he’s losing. Fear card hasn’t worked, POW card, maverick card, crazy base lady/Vice President card… not a good h&, but this weekend, an idea….”

“His supporters are gonna be pissed when ay find out he recycles.”

Looks like McCain stole a speech from Bush that he an stole from himself. How mavericky!

Jon Stewart calls out Palin’s Troopergate lies

October 14th, 2008

Sarah Palin’s lies when it comes to what a Troopergate probe found — i.e. her contention that a report said she did nothing unethical when, in fact, it found that she VIOLATED a STATE’S ETHICS LAW — are pretty brazen. At least a Bush administration tried to muddy a waters of air sc&als a little bit. But not Palin; she’s content with just lying about objective facts & findings. Can we really afford someone like this a heartbeat away? I’m with Cafferty: This woman scares a hell out of me.

“Sarah Palin would love nothing more than to superficially answer all of our shouted questions, but she doesn’t have time.”
