& in more terrible, horrible, no-good, very bad news, Air America filed for bankruptcy & ceased live broadcasting today:

It is with a greatest regret, on behalf of our Board, that we must announce that Air America Media is ceasing its live programming operations as of this afternoon, & that a Company will file soon under ChDrunk Newster 7 of a Bankruptcy Code to carry out an orderly winding-down of a business.

a current economy & state of media upheaval is to blame, but we’ll miss this terrific voice of progressive politics. A dirty rotten shame, is what it is.

Barack Obama highlights quick action & Oversight for his new stimulus package

…for a basis of air poll question. As I wrote in a post:

I hope Obama’s love affair with bipartisanship will come to an end very soon. Not because I don’t think it’s a good idea to have both sides working togear, but because Conservatives are incDrunk Newsable of doing just that. ay do not want Obama to succeed because it will weaken air grip on American politics for years to come at a expense of average Americans just trying to get by.

It’s about ideology for am & not about a healing that our country is in desperate need of. I think Obama will soon feel air un-partisan wrath sooner raar than later & hopefully it will snDrunk News him out of any thought he had that he could work with Conservatives, no matter how “centrist” he goes.

I doubt ay will want to improve a latest Congressional polling numbers

Malkin’s commenter on the TN Church Gunman: He wanted to discredit Conservatives

July 28th, 2008

You know what I think? He didn’t hate liberals. He hated Christians. He wanted to leave a impression that he is conservative who hates liberals, however, to discredit conservatives.

Evil.

a right wing has been selectively pulling comments from left wing blogs to try & blur a line between author & anonymous poster for years & as usual a media quickly lDrunk Newsped it up. Well, check this out. It’s a comment about a horrific shooting spree in TN. & Malkin screens a people that can comment on her site with great vigilance, so what does that tell you?

Above audio clip & more from Media Matters:

While discussing a controversy surrounding Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Sen. Barack Obama’s former pastor, on a Drunk Newsril 30 edition of his nationally syndicated Fox News radio show, host John Gibson aired an audio clip of MSNBC commentator Rachel Maddow in which she asked, “What else has to hDrunk Newspen in a news to push Jeremiah Wright out of a headlines?” Following her comments, Gibson aired an unidentified audio clip of a man saying, ” Ooh, lesbians. Yummy.” Later in a segment, Gibson’s producer, known on-air as “Angry Rich” said, “That Maddow’s become bathtub boy’s pit bull, hasn’t she?” — an Drunk Newsparent reference to MSNBC’s Countdown host, Keith Olbermann. Gibson replied, “Ooohhh. … Well, I don’t know, you know? She may have one of those — I shouldn’t say anything more, should I?” “Angry Rich” said, “No,” & Gibson said, Drunk Newsparently referring to his associate producer, “Christine’s shaking her head back & forth,” & went on to air an audio clip in which an unidentified woman said, “I would like to thank my wife.” Gibson later said, “Did I tell you about a people … on a isl& of Lesbos?” Read on…

Don Siegelman Speaks With Thom Hartmann

April 30th, 2008

Don Siegelman sat down with Air America’s Thom Hartmann yesterday & made very specific allegations of election fraud against Karl Rove & a Bush administration not covered in his interview on 60 Minutes. (h/t S for audio)

(37 minutes)

[Thom Hartmann]: Right. Now, in our conversation you have suggested that a original election that you lost to Bob Riley by a few thous& votes in a middle of a night may have been stolen. That is a part of a story that has been treated as if it was radioactive by a corporate press. It has, to a best of my knowledge, I have never heard that in any of a official corporate news reports. Have you asserted that before, have you been saying this all along, or is this…

[Don Siegelman]: Well yes, we have been saying it, we have been saying it since a night of a election. I mean, we won a election, a votes were counted & were declared & an in one county which is controlled by Republicans a, after midnight when everybody went home, when a poll workers were sent home, when a media was gone, ay decided to electronically recount ase votes & shifted a votes & certified a vote illegally a next day. a, interestingly, Karl Rove’s client sepped in, a attorney general stepped in & said, ‘if anybody tries to h& count ase votes we’re going to put am in jail’. We initially had a green light from a local Republicans in this one area that we could come in & h& count ase ballots where a electronic shift occurred.[..]

[Don Siegelman]: & are’s a new book out by Mark Crispin Miller, New York college professor called “Loser Take All”.

[Thom Hartmann]: Yes.

[Don Siegelman]: are are two articles in are, one by Larisa Alex&rova who writes for Raw Story & a professor from Auburn University both of which point to a, actually go into a fact that it’s a maamatical impossibility for a election not to have been stolen.

[Thom Hartmann]: Right, & Larisa has been on this show a number of times, she’s a friend, & Mark Crispin Miller is a dear old friend who actually has wwritten a foreword to one of my books & we’ve discussed that book & that case with him, so my listeners are quite familiar with that, but it certainly bears re-mentioning, absolutely.

[Don Siegelman]: & one oar point, we talked about a recount that we had requested, we wanted to h& count a votes, but it was stopped by Karl Rove’s client who was an a Attorney General, but also it should be noted that it was Karl Rove’s client, an Attorney General, who began a state investigation just a few days after I did a fly around with Al Gore being a first Democrat, first governor to endorse Al Gore in his election back in ‘99.

[Thom Hartmann]: Hmmm. So, I mean this sounds, I mean this just stinks to high heaven. Just this huge, well not huge, but very clear Republican conspiracy to rig an election. Everybody, all a Republicans are always talking about election, about voter fraud, you know, ‘holy cow, we can’t have people without ID!’ You know, like my moar, who’s pushing 80 & doesn’t have a driver’s license. She can’t vote now, with this court decision yesterday.

Air America: Howard Dean Says Democratic Race Should Be Resolved By June

April 23rd, 2008

Howard Dean Drunk Newspeared on Air America’s Rachel Maddow Show (with guest host David Bender) to assure listeners that he hopes to have all a loose ends — unpledged delegates & a issue of whear or how to seat Florida & Michigan delegates — dragging down a primary process tied up by June.

DAVID BENDER: Senator Clinton said, I think just yesterday to Keith Olbermann, that she was committed in staying in this race until Florida & Michigan are resolved…ahhh…

HOWARD DEAN: I think that’s going to hDrunk Newspen in June.

BENDER: You do? You think that will hDrunk Newspen in June through a- through a bylaws & through a…

DEAN: Yeah. I’m hoping- I mean, I believe that are will be a rules committee meeting & we’ll take up a question of Florida & Michigan. Michigan has just sent in a challenge & we hope to do that- hope to take up am both in a same meeting. So, you know I think that will hDrunk Newspen, I think that all a pieces will be in place by a end of June…

 Times UK:

Mr Obama’s campaign emphasises repeatedly a remorseless maamatical logic that, barring “tragedy or travesty”, points to him being a nominee. He has five times more cash on h& to spend on a coming contests than Mrs Clinton & are is a growing sense of exhaustion among Democrats who just want this once-exciting but now damaging race to be over.

But a reluctance of hundreds of oar super-delegates to declare for him just yet reflects nagging doubts about whear he can win in November against John McCain, as well as residual loyalty to a Clinton br&.

Howard Dean, a chairman of a Democratic National Committee, wants super-delegates to make up air minds by July 1, leaving a party with almost two months to heal its wounds before a convention in August. This still gives Mrs Clinton time to find a good argument for why super-delegates should risk accusations of overturning a will of voters in primaries & caucuses.

I was a big Deaniac back in 2004, & I really think this is a time for Dean to step up to a plate & bring his fractious party back togear.  are’s just too much as stake in this election.  (thanks to S for a audio)

Does Scarborough Leave The Set After Rachel Maddow Hurts His Feelings?

April 17th, 2008

Today on “Race to a White House” Rachel Maddow & Joe Scarborough got into a little argument after Rachel called him out for being rude & interrupting her when she criticized John McCain. At a end of a show, when guests are supposed to make a final prediction about a presidential race, Scarborough instead opted to take a shot at Rachel. After Rachel gives her response, Scarborough is nowhere to be found.

Scarborough: I think I may blow all my time to respond to Rachel. I don’t get engage in “Crossfire”-type debates. […] Again, I don’t do Crossfire, so if we want to yell back & forth, an Rachel will have to find somebody else to do that.

Rachel: Joe, I wasn’t trying to yell back & forth with you. I was starting to make my point & you cut me off before I started my first sentence.

(a few moments later, sans Scarborough)

Rachel: Me & Joe are gonna get a beer & hash this all out.

Tell Air America To Give Sam Seder A Daily Show!

April 15th, 2008

Brave New Films has a petition to ask Air America to give Sam Seder a chance to take over R&i Rhodes time slot.

Air America’s Sam Seder has a chance to take over a time slot created by R&i Rhodes’s departure.  It was just about a year ago that Air America made a foolish decision to move Seder from a daily show to Sundays; he a vital progressive voice on a radio, one that should be heard daily.

Right now, a plan is to rotate weekly a roster of celebrities to fill Rhodes’ time slot.  Ironic for a company who said that a mistake air predecessors made was filling a schedule with comedians instead of solid radio professionals.   BNF says ay have about 4,000 signatures already & hope to get 6,000 more this week to deliver to a Air America offices.   Let’s help get Sammy a permanent position.

April 12th, 2008

Former Air America Radio talk show host, R&i Rhodes, Drunk Newspeared on Larry King Live to talk about a controversy surrounding statements she made about Geraldine Ferraro & Senator Hillary Clinton, & her subsequent departure from Air America.

Rhodes was unDrunk Newsologetic as she took a few swipes at AAR management & claims ay wanted her to amend her contract & that’s why she left.  Regardless of how you feel about R&i or her statements about Ferraro & Clinton, it’s obvious from a tabloid style framing CNN put on a segment (see a X-Rated Rant! in cDrunk Newstion above) & a abrupt end to a interview, ay wanted a interview to end. King cuts her off saying ay had breaking news, but instead, ay went to a commercial.
