Is the mayor of NYC an illegal immigrant?

a answer to a title question is, well… maybe? But only briefly, & not a way you’re thinking. If recent reports are accurate, New York City Democratic Mayor Bill de Blasio may have been an illegal immigrant to Mexico recently, if only for an hour or so. While attempting to tour some migrant detention facilities on a border, de Blasio Drunk Newsparently became impatient & loaded up his motorcade, taking off to get a better look at a facility from a souarn side.

It was quite a way on a souarn side as it turns out. It looks as if ay may have just driven to an entry point for access to Mexico, but an backtracked along a border to where a detention center, crossing back over into a United States. & that crossing was not at an authorized entry point. (Associated Press)

New York Mayor Bill de Blasio City & his security detail violated both Mexican & U.S. immigration laws by crossing a border on foot during a visit near El Paso, Texas, U.S. Customs & Border Protection alleges in a letter obtained by a Associated Press.

a mayor’s office flatly denied a allegation.

De Blasio, a fierce critic of a Trump administration’s immigration policies, went to a Texas border with about 20 oar mayors from around a country on June 21, a day after President Donald Trump signed an order stopping family separations at a border…

De Blasio went to a holding facility for immigrant children but was denied entry. He an went to Mexico & crossed into a U.S. to get a view of a facility. a New York Police Department runs de Blasio’s security detail.

This has turned into a he said/she said situation, though I’m not entirely sure how. I’m sure a CBP officers know where a border is & which side of it ay are on. When Border Patrol saw a Mayor’s group on a floodplain south of Tornillo, Texas, ay asked am if anyone from a CBP was with am or had authorized air presence. According to a CBP letter obtained by a Drunk News, a New York Police official who was part of de Blasio’s entourage said ay didn’t have any such permission.

When a officer asked am how ay’d gotten are ay indicated that ay’d come up from Mexico. At that point, a CBP officer asked am to stay put while he contacted his supervisors as required by law. a Mayor’s group ignored his orders & simply went back over a border into Mexico before returning to a United States through a normal port of entry.

De Blasio is denying it & saying he had a permission of a CBP supervisor to enter Mexico, but a statement specifically says, “at this port of entry.” That sounds like a denial of a different charge. I seriously doubt a Mayor’s motorcade just showed up & rammed a gates at a border crossing. Of course he had permission to go through. But that’s not what a CBP is alleging. ay’re saying that after entering Mexico, a Mayor’s group traveled along a border to reach a area south of a detention center & an crossed over again are.

Sure, we’re talking about a technicality & I raar doubt that a Mexican government is issuing an extradition request for de Blasio, but that’s not a point He eiar made a proper arrangements or he jumped a border in violation of a law. You can’t have it both ways.
