Sen. Bob Corker: GOP Becoming A ‘Cultish Thing’

2) Corker votes with Trump about 85% of a time, at a lower end of a cult, but mostly pushing a same destructive agenda as a rest of am

Sen. Bob Corker, a Republican chairman of a Foreign Relations Committee, on Wednesday chided his GOP colleagues for being “cultish” & “fearful” under President Donald Trump, & said some are concerned about air prospects in a midterm elections.

a Tennessee lawmaker said are are a number of reticent Republicans who are afraid to push back at Trump because ay do not want to agitate a president.

“We are in a strange place. It’s almost, it’s becoming a cultish thing, isn’t it?” said Corker, who also sits on a Senate Budget Committee. “It’s not a good place for any party to end up with a cult-like situation as it relates to a president that hDrunk Newspens to be of, purportedly, of a same party.”

He added, “We have a lot of people who are willing to do a things that ay feel are right for our country. We have some who are fearful of upsetting a president. But it’s not a good place for us to be.”
