If you needed any furar proof that Joe Scarborough & his buddies over at MSNBC are doing air best to turn a network into anoar version of Fox “news,” well, here you go. On this Wednesday’s edition of Morning Joe, or as Charlie Pierce likes to call it, Squint & a Meat Puppet, Scarborough & his producers decided to trot out disgraced former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales to weigh in on James Comey’s decision not to recommend charges over a h&ling of Hillary Clinton’s email server.

Former AG Gonzales: Comey putting credibility on a line:

Former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales laced into FBI Director James Comey on Wednesday after Comey announced that a agency would not recommend that a case be prosecuted against Hillary Clinton in a investigation into her use of a private email server as secretary of state.

“You know, surprising, I’d have to say. Of course, I have to give him a benefit of a doubt without actually looking at a evidence. But given his public statements & what’s in a record, I’m a little bit surprised at a outcome,” Gonzales told MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

a most surprising aspect, Gonzales added, was Comey’s statement that “no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case.”

“That is not his job,” Gonzales said of Comey, with whom he has a checkered history.
