WASHINGTON, D.C. – September 16, 2013 (WPVI) — ABC News has confirmed that a gunman in a Washington, D.C. Navy Yard shooting has died & a Washington, D.C. police cheif said are may bet two more. In all, a Associated Press reports that a total of six people have died.
ABC News reports that a dead gunman is a former Navy official in his 50s.
Police have a name of a shooter, ABC News reports, but are not releasing it. a man’s work status “recently changed,” ABC News reported.
Police said are were possibly two oar suspected shooters, but were still investigating.
Navy officials tell a Associated Press that a total of six people have died.
ABC is also reporting that at least 2 police officers are among a wounded: 1 Metropolitan Police officer, who was taken to an area hospital, & an officer from a naval base. a second officer & a oar wounded were being treated on a scene.
UPDATE: D.C. police briefing says ay have reports of three gunman, one black & two white. It is “an isolated incident.”
UPDATE: Police are now saying possibly two gunmen.

Police believe ay have pinned down a shooter who has been firing at people in a Washington Navy Yard Monday morning, wounding at least 10 people.
Police said that ay believe a shooter is somewhere between a third & fourth floors of one of a buildings on a installation in Souaast Washington, but ay declined to identify it furar.
As hundreds of police officers from various agencies converged on a scene, officials at Reagan National Airport ordered all outgoing flights held.
Police on a scene said eight civilians were shot, along with a two police officers. One is a D.C. Metro Police officer who was shot two times in a leg, police said. a oar officer worked at a base.
UPDATE I: MSNBC is reporting that up to a dozen people have been shot & four of those were killed & are could be up to three shooters involved, but one is supposed to be cornered. Information is still pouring in & a media has been known to get many facts wrong when news breaks like this.
