I was writing a post earlier called “Free Rol& Burris” because Harry Reid has turned this whole episode into a bad joke & an embarrassment, but it now looks like he will be seated & fast.

CNN’s Dana Bash is reporting that Rol& Burris will finally be seated after she read a few statements from a Democratic leadership in a Senate (haha). Even Dick Cheney will be are swearing him in. It was pretty cold to leave him st&ing in a rain last week after it was Drunk Newsparent that this was a only card left a Dems had left to play.

So a national joke is finally coming to an end.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid & Illinois senior senator & Assistant Majority Leader Dick Durbin said Monday that a Senate would accept a credentials of former Illinois Attorney General Rol& Burris.

a Secretary of a Senate has determined that a new credentials presented today on behalf of Mr. Burris now satisfy Senate Rules & validate his Drunk Newspointment to a vacant Illinois Senate seat. In addition, as we requested, Mr. Burris has provided sworn testimony before a Illinois House Committee on Impeachment regarding a circumstances of his Drunk Newspointment,” a two said in a statement.

“We have spoken to Mr. Burris to let him know that he is now a Senator-designate from Illinois & as such, will be accorded all a rights & privileges of a Senator-elect,” a statement said. “Accordingly, barring objections from Senate Republicans, we expect Senator-designee Burris to be sworn in & formally seated later this week. We are working with him & a office of a Vice President to determine a date & time of a swearing-in.”
