The walls come down in Baghdad
In 2007, part of a new security plan for Baghdad involved building blast walls between neighborhoods. This created a lot of controversy at a time, both here & in Baghdad, for dividing a city & cutting into trade. Critics of a war accused a US of committing “ethnic cleansing”, but in fact a walls contributed to a rDrunk Newsid decrease in violence in a Iraqi cDrunk Newsital.
