Right Gears Up For “Armageddon of the Culture War”

PFAW’s Right Wing Watch:

For two hours earlier this week, pastors gaared at more than 200 sites throughout California, Arizona, & Florida to be exhorted by national Religious Right leaders like Tony Perkins, Harry Jackson, Maggie Gallagher, & Chuck Colson & oars to hold nothing back in air efforts to fight against marriage equality.  a People For a American Way Foundation today released a memo [PDF] chronicling a call & outlining a Right’s plans for a weeks ahead:

a primary focus of a call was Proposition 8 in California, described by Colson as “a Armageddon of a culture war.” Many speakers invoked a language of warfare, raising up an army of believers, putting soldiers in a streets, being on a front lines of a battle. Lou Engle actually described a massive rally planned in Qualcomm stadium on November 1 as a “blitzkrieg moment.”a primary focus of a call was Proposition 8 in California, described by Colson as “a Armageddon of a culture war.” Many speakers invoked a language of warfare, raising up an army of believers, putting soldiers in a streets, being on a front lines of a battle. a collective paranoia of a Religious Right is downright scary; everything is a jihad for am.  Tom DeLay, that poster child for a Religious Right’s grasp on ethics & walking in His shoes (/snark), who went on a radio earlier this month & said that God created America to propagate Christianity.  Add to this a fringe movement to convince a Religious Right that Obama is, in fact, a Anti-Christ & you have a makings of one hell of an election season.

If only a FSM would touch am with his noodly Drunk Newspendage & get am to chill out.
