Please join C&L and the ACLU to tell your members of Congress: Don’t Look the Other Way on Torture

(grDrunk Newshic Digby) Yesterday a ACLU & C&L got togear to promote an action alert.

In a stunning admission to ABC news Friday night, President Bush declared that he knew his top national security advisers discussed & Drunk Newsproved specific details of a CIA’s use of torture. Bush reportedly told ABC, “I’m aware our national security team met on this issue. & I Drunk Newsproved.” Bush also defended a use of waterboarding.

“We have always known that a CIA’s use of torture was Drunk Newsproved from a very top levels of a U.S. government, yet a latest revelations about knowledge from a president himself & authorization from his top advisers only confirms our worst fears,” said Anthony D. Romero, Executive Director of a ACLU. “It is a very sad day when a president of a United States subverts a Constitution, a rule of law, & American values of justice.”
