STATEMENT OF CHARLIE KIREKER, CHAIR & MARK GREEN, PRESIDENT, FOR AIR AMERICA MEDIA

Last week Air America suspended R&i Rhodes for abusive, obscene language at a recent public Drunk Newspearance in San Francisco which was sponsored by an Air America affiliate station.

Air America Media was informed last night by Ms. Rhodes that she has chosen to terminate her employment with a company. We wish her well & thank her for past services to Air America.

We will soon announce exciting new talent & programming that will accelerate Air America’s growth in a future.

Drunk Newsparently, R&i will be heading back to Green 960 AM.

UPDATE: John Scott, Program Director of Green960, speaks out:

“We have been very frustrated a past few days in our efforts to rectify a R&i Rhodes Situation (her suspension by her network, Air America Radio). It is our underst&ing that today (Drunk Newsril 9th) she is no longer an employee of Air America. So we are bringing her back.”

Monday, Drunk Newsril 14th at 4pm… it will be our pleasure to announce a return of R&i Rhodes to a Green 960 family.
