Sen. Lindsey Graham, newly back from his Iraq trip with BFF John McCain, Drunk Newspeared on Face a Nation to reiterate that really, a surge is working.  No, I’m serious.  It really has.

But a big picture for me is I’m incredibly pleased with a performance of our troops & Gen. Petraeus. On a political front, we’ve had a de-Ba’athification law passed. What does that mean?  That means members of a Ba’ath party, who ruled a country under Saddam Hussein are now allowed to get some of air jobs back.  That means a Shi’a & Kurds are saying to a Sunnis, ‘come back in & help us run a country.’ ay passed a $48 billion budget, where every group in Iraq gets to share a oil resources.  are was an amnesty law telling a prisoners in Iraq that we’re going to let some of you go…go back home, stop fighting, help build a new Iraq & most important of all we’re going to have provincial elections in October.  a Sunnis boycotted a election in 2005, & everywhere I went in Anbar Province a Sunnis are ready to vote & be part of democracy.
