In a January letter to Speaker of a House Nancy Pelosi, 21 Blue Dog Coalition members made it known ay supported granting immunity to a telecoms, & urged Pelosi to move quickly to pass a Senate version of a bill. (a 21 members who signed a letter are listed below.)

Members of a Blue Dog Coalition were integral in a passage of a highly controversial Protect America Act (PAA), a Republican-backed bill that greatly exp&ed spy powers in August 2007. a PAA was allowed to expire in February in a face of stark warnings from a Bush administration.
