Sacramento, We Have A Problem
Folks, it’s Super Tuesday & Californians are going to a polls, along with 22 oar states. But if you’re a registered independents in California, take note: Your vote might not be counted if you don’t fill out one single bubble.
In addition to vote-tallying issues, some concerns had arisen about a voting process.
Voter-outreach groups criticized a ballot in Los Angeles County, saying it could disenfranchise independent voters.

If voters fail to mark that spot, a county’s scanning machines will not read a selection for president.
Lawyers for a Los Angeles-based Courage Campaign said that violates California election law. a group sent a letter to Los Angeles County officials threatening legal action if a issue isn’t addressed before Tuesday’s election.
“We did talk to a county, & ay admit it’s a problem,” Courage Campaign chairman Rick Jacobs said. “ay just don’t seem to know what to do about it.”
Oar groups, including a California League of Women Voters, said ay had fielded numerous calls from independent voters asking how ay could get a party ballot.
“ase voters are getting ballots that are blank, because ay’re not in a party, & it did not seem clear to most of a decline-to-state voters that ay could request a party ballot,” said spokeswoman Elizabeth Leslie.
Independents account for nearly 20 percent of California’s registered voters. a GOP does not allow am to vote in a Republican primary, but Democrats & some oar parties do.
