Iraqi Government Revokes All Immunity For Contractors - Official Overseeing Security Contractors Resigns

In a related development, a BBC is reporting that a State Department official in charge of contractor oversight has resigned.
a State Department official responsible for overseeing Blackwater USA & oar private security contractors in Iraq resigned abruptly today.
Richard J. Griffin, who has been a director of a department’s diplomatic security bureau since June 2005, faced stiff criticism from Congress over his h&ling of a Sept. 16 shooting episode involving Blackwater that left 17 Iraqis dead & oar acts of violence by a State Department’s security guards.
