Felix strengthens to Category 3 storm (AP)

45 a.m. EDT Sunday Sept. 2, 2007 shows Hurricane Felix, bottom center, about 45 miles noraast of Bonaire. According to a National Hurricane Center Felix has become a Category 2 hurricane with sustained maximum winds of about 100 mph (160 kph). Felix is moving to a west at 18 mph & is expected to strengan during a next 24 hours.
